The Food lovers retreat

A 3 day/4 night cooking retreat, visiting markets and producers and of course eating. Your accommodation will be at The Courtyard, Ste Catherine 16170 St Cybardeaux, award winning family friendly Gîte and Chambre D’hotes holiday rental in the heart of the Charente. It is a very pretty 35 minute drive away from my home where all cooking classes will take place. Accommodation details

Course details  Arrive at your accommodation on Saturday afternoon between 4-5pm where you will be met by myself and Steph. We will settle you into your accommodation and then enjoy an apero together (drink and nibbles) so I can talk you through the 3 day course. Steph will then provide you with a delicious welcoming dinner.

Day 1 – We will meet at 10am at Les Halles in Angouleme the covered food market where we will take in all the amazing produce available and then enjoy a lunch at one of the stalls. We will then have our fist cooking class in the afternoon making a delicious evening meal together, before you return to your accommodation.

Day 2 – The morning is yours to relax and enjoy and I will meet you at 2pm at a local producers to learn about the making of the produce and you can shop or just explore the farm. Steph will cook dinner for you or recommend a local restaurant.

Day 3 – A 10.30am start today and we will begin the preparation for our gourmet dinner. A light lunch of local meats, cheese and salads will be taken and then after a short siesta  we will cook together to create a further 3 courses for our final evening together. Hopefully we can eat al fresco before you return to the accommodation.

Day 4 – Wednesday morning will be the end of the weekend retreat and Steph will see you all off safely to your next destination.

The price of the The food lovers retreat is 1350 euros per participant. This includes 4 nights accommodation, breakfast every morning, 4 evening meals, all trips to producers & markets, 1 lunch out at a local restaurant (plat du jour) and all the cooking classes. There will be a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 participants per course.
